Ok, here on WordPress, you have a little widget which houses a direct link to my Flickr photos. They tell you the story of Woolfest through my eyes and camera.
Sam, the lovely Puddytatpurr, Isis, the fluffy puppy and I drove up on the Thursday and camped in Sam’s super camper van. It’s not your average van, it’s mahussive and very comfortable.
Woolfest was super. We met some lovely people, renewed acquaintances with others and learned loads. Also, we got to hold baby sheepies to keep ourselves warm.
Middle of June and it really was an English summer. Flipping freezing at times.
Don’t ask about the cockerel…suffice it to say, the wretched noise maker was still alive when we left.
We spent a hod of money between us and I wrote just a couple of cheques, could have been more but I did try to not spend there too much.
We were offered the use of a shower and hook up on the Sunday night by the lovely Tattyknits who welcomed us into her home, fed us and treated us like family
We then lunched the following day with The Mogs. They are such lovely people. I could spend hours with them, Tattyknits, Evee and Sam.
Then, sniff, we had to return home. Both of us were utterly exhausted and I don’t feel much better now.
Would I do it again? Hell, yes. With bells on.
What’s It All About
In The Past
- My fairy name is Nettle Willowglimmer
She casts weird dreams.
She lives in brambles and blackberry bushes.
She is only seen when the sun sets on the day of a completed harvest.
She wears purple and green like berries and leaves and has delicate green coloured wings like a cicada.
